                           INDIA'S SUCCESSFUL JOURNEY AT

                                    TOKYO OLYMPICS 2020

Summary

India has created history in the recent Olympics in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. Indian players showed their full potential in the tournament and won 7 medals with  1 Gold,  2 Silver and 4 Bronze.
Most successful Olympics for the country, won gold after 13 years, medal in hockey after 41 years.

Let us know about some records that India made in Tokyo Olympics

1. Won  a gold medal at the Olympics after 13 years

   > Neeraj Chopra created this record in Javelin Throw. Earlier in 2008, Abhinav Bindra won a  gold       medal in shooting. Neeraj is the second player to have won a gold medal in an individual event.




   
2.   Won a medal in hockey after 41 years.
      
       This time India's men's hockey team has won bronze medal. Earlier India had won gold medal in      1980. Since then Indian hockey was struggling continuously, but this time it succeeded.
        

3. Won one gold, two silver and 4 bronze 

    This is the first time since India has won the most medals in a single Olympics. Earlier India had             won 6 medals in the 2012 London Olympics.


4.  After 8 years, two medals came  in wrestling

   Ravi Kumar  Dahiya has won silver and Bajrang Punia won bronze in wrestling. Earlier Sushil    Kumar had won silver and Yogeshwar Dutt had won bronze at 2012 Olympics.
